ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Natalie!

​

I graduated in May 2020 from Ball State University’s College of Architecture & Planning with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Magna Cum Laude Honors. I also completed minors in Construction Management and Historic Preservation to complement and expand upon my degree. I am passionate about design and strive to make the client happy while also exceeding their expectations to design in ways they hadn’t initially thought about.

Throughout my education, I have developed strong technical capabilities as well as great communication, visualization, and self-motivation skills. I established myself as a front-runner in the class through being featured in the College of Architecture and Planning’s student publication, Glue 14, 15, and 16, three years in a row. I also enjoy helping others grow and network within the professional world, so I was very involved with BSU’s Interior Design Alliance where I served as the Vice President my Junior and Senior year. 

Along with my educational achievements, I have also progressed professionally through two summer internships. While at these internships, I worked on a variety of project types and gained experience in the production of construction documents, collaborated with interdisciplinary teams, and gained additional knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, and specifications. I am also a member of IIDA and regularly participate in their local events such as Product Runway and the IDEA Awards. I plan to continue my professional development through obtaining my NCIDQ certification and working toward a LEED certification in the future. 

Currently, I continue to develop my design skills while searching for a design career post-graduation. Even through these unprecedented times, I am motivated to keep learning and using my skills. Over the summer, I worked on store design for a small local business in my hometown. I also continue to broaden my skills in Enscape since self-teaching myself for my senior capstone project last spring.
